Aleris Recycling belongs to Aleris
International Inc. based in Beachwood, Ohio, USA. Aleris is a global
leader in aluminium rolled and extruded products, aluminium recycling
and casting alloys production. The Company is also a recycler of
zinc and a leading U.S. manufacturer of zinc metal and value-added
zinc products that include zinc oxide and zinc dust.
Aleris Recycling has today four production facilities in Europe. In the “Erftwerk” in
Grevenbroich as well as in the Swansea plant in South Wales we
mainly recycle wrought alloy scraps and bring the metal back into
the production circle. Our partners are the rolling and extrusion
plants of Aleris as well as other integrated aluminium producers.
The
production of casting alloys is based in the facilities in Deizisau
(the “Neckarwerk”), near Stuttgart and Toeging
(the “Innwerk”), 80 km east of Munich. In these plants
we produce ca. 200 different alloys that we supply ether liquid
or in ingot form ready to cast to our customers. In Toeging we
also operate a magnesium recycling facility for the production
of casting alloys.
Today Aleris Recycling is a leading recycler
of aluminium and magnesium and producer of aluminium and Magnesium
casting alloys in Europe with a total capacity of more than 400,000
t/a scrap.
